Skymint Colors Project
Skymint is a Michigan based dispensary company with multiple brands that house creative minds and forward thinkers dedicated to their craft and making the best products. This inspired me to make a sample product line as a personal project. I went with a classic take having each strain represented by a different color invoking a feeling that each strain would induce, making it bright and fun to attract the customer in reaching for their color.
In developing this project, I started with the most tangible part of the product, the jar. I created the jar from scratch modeling in a 3D software called 3DS Max. I also textured the jar using a thick tinted glass giving it a feeling of weight but also tinted it to provide discretion for the users and finished it off with a nice light wood top giving it an elegant feeling. I then rendered the jar using the 3DS Max’s Arnold renderer giving it a photorealistic feel and polish. I then exported the finished product into photoshop where I created both the ads you see above and below using playful fonts and colors to achieve the desired look.
